Collate your Directory Info

If you have selected the Service Directory option when signing up for Fabrik, you've empowered


your community with an opportunity to attract revenue - while offering affordable promotional opportunities to business owners in your community.


Based on your pricing model, you may have to send us your Directory information for us to upload to your app.


Here's a quick guide on what is required for us to populate your app with directory categories and businesses.


How to send your information:


  1. Compose an email to support@fabrik.cloud, and refer to the title of your app in the Subject line.

  2. Provide the text information in either a Word or Excel document.

  3. Attach the image files in compressed/zipped folders.

  4. Further details per information type is provided below.


A. Category Title


  1. Create one Word or Excel document that lists all Categories.

  2. For each Category, type the title accurately as these will be copied and pasted exactly as provided.

  3. Text length: Try to keep the name to a maximum of 20 characters. If the title is longer than 20 characters, it will be shortened on many devices.

  4. Colour: Note that category names appear in white text by default.

  5. Attach this file to your email.


B. Category Icons


  1. Include an icon for every category that you would like listed.

  2. Design specs: It is recommended the icons of all your categories are designed in the same colour using a consistent style.

  3. File-size: The system will resize the icons to fit within the space.

  4. File types accepted: .PNG, .JPEG

  5. Title each icon file so that we can match these with the intended category.

  6. Collect all your icons into one folder, compress/zip this folder, and title it Categories.

  7. Attach this folder to your email.


C. Business Text


  1. For a Category to display publicly in the app, it must be linked to at least one Business.

  2. Use a Word or Excel document. If you have many Businesses per Category (more than 5), then it's best to create one document/one sheet per Category of Businesses.

  3. For each Business, include the following information: a) Category b) Business Name c) Business Description d) Physical Address (does not need to be complete i.e. can be a suburb, etc. ) e) Email address f) Website URL g) Phone number


D. Business Images


  1. Include an image for every category that you would like listed.

  2. Design specs: The image that you upload needs to be a landscape image in an 8:3 ratio (example 800px across by 300px down).

  3. File-size: Less than 1MB so they can load quicker.

  4. File types accepted: .PNG, .JPEG

  5. Title each image file so that we can match these with the intended category.

  6. Collect all your images into one folder, compress/zip this folder, and title it Businesses.

  7. Attach this folder to your email.
